BY-HEALTH and BASF Enter into Strategic Collaboration for Joint R&D of Precision Nutrition Solutions

Lead: "Precision Nutrition" is a significant development trend of the global nutrition industry. To jointly push ahead the R&D collaboration and market development of precision nutrition, the leading brand of dietary supplements BY-HEALTH and the global nutrition industry leader BASF signed a ten-year R&D strategic collaboration agreement in the "13th China Nutrition Science Congress" on May 23, 2017.

On May 23, 2017, BY-HEALTH, the leading brand of dietary supplements, and BASF, the global nutrition industry leader, reached a ten-year R&D strategic collaboration agreement in the "13th China Nutrition Science Congress". Both parties agree to make joint efforts in the technical R&D and market application of precision nutrition, promoting the substantial development of precision nutrition in the market.

 In recent years, scientists have found that personalised nutrition intervention could be a more effective way to prevent and control diseases. The United States launched a Precision Medicine Initiative in 2015. And the "Precision Nutrition", as an integral part of the "precision medicine", has become a significant trend of the global nutrition industry. In October 2016, the Outline of the Healthy China 2030 Plan was issued by China's State Council, a move that lifted citizens' health to the national strategic level.

 Under the guidance of the national policy, the nutrition and health industry ushers in a new period and numerous opportunities for its development, making "Precision Nutrition" a focus of the industry. Subject to the R&D strategic collaboration agreement, BY-HEALTH and BASF will make full use of their respective advantages in products and raw materials, and exert joint efforts in the development of customized materials with the aid of technologies and in technical cooperation and achievement transformation projects. For example, joint efforts will be made in R&D of personalised vitamins raw materials and products; in undertaking the BY-HEALTH's 2017 nutritional science research fund research project – "Clinical study on whole nutrition formula of muscle attenuation syndrome"; and in the R&D of "Precision Nutrition" solutions covering products and technologies. Furthermore, the parties will also work together in market information sharing and brand activities to vigorously propel the market-oriented education and development of "Precision Nutrition".
